In the JAYP Webinar on Youtube, titled "G. Masukawa's talk on his works（G. Masukawaのらニキの細腕繁盛記）," we invited science illustrator/writer G. Masukawa as a guest to talk about his research on ammonites and dinosaur skeletal drawings.
He talked in detail about the selection of his research theme and how he got involved in skeletal drawings, so I think that young people who are thinking of entering the field of paleontology would have a lot to learn from him.

#10 [Welcome to the World of Diatoms]

The 10th JAYP Weninar on YouTube titled "Welcome to the world of diatoms" welcomed Dr. Yuji Kato (Center for Advanced Marine Core Research, Kochi University) as a guest. In the YouTube live, he talked about the wonders of diatoms. We learned that there are many diatoms living around us and they are useful for paleoenvironmental reconstruction and age determination. He also talked about diatom fossils in Antarctica, and I would like to participate in such a research project.

As opportunities for face-to-face interaction are decreasing, we held an online social event. Participants ranged in age from high school students to graduate students and researchers, and even attended from overseas, making this a social event where the advantages of online were fully felt.
We were able to talk in detail about academic and employment counseling.
There were some who said that there was not enough time to talk.
Please look forward to future Networking meetings.

-Innovation at the Museum-]
May 29, 2021.
The 11th guest speaker was Dr. Akihiko Shibahara, Director of the Institute of Geoscience Visualization Technology, a venture from AIST, and a visiting professor at Fukui Prefectural University, who talked about enterprises in the field of paleontology. Dr. Shibahara's current work, which began from his interests, was very inspiring to the audience, including myself, and we were showered with comments like never before. One of the questions came from a second year elementary school student, and the hour ended with a great success.
